followed by 3 weekly group class sessions with dogs. This class is limited to four dogs and their families.
Level 2 Life Skills Classes
These classes are designed to master the skills introduced in the Level 1 classes.
Completion of Puppy Program or Family Manners 1 is required for all Level 2 classes. These classes are limited to five dogs and their families.
Positions (Sit, Down, Stand) and Stay $80/ 4 weeks
This class will add distance, distraction and duration (stay) to perfect the sit and down introduced at Level 1. In addition, dogs will learn Stand, and an emergency Sit or Down.
Come and Leave it $80/ 4 weeks
This class will perfect coming when called from greater distances, and with greater distractions (Leave it).
Leash Manners and Heel $80/ 4 weeks
In this class dogs will master walking on a loose leash in highly distracting environments. Heel will be introduced, with proper position, attention and automatic sit.
Place (Mat) and Boundary Training $80/ 4 weeks
This class teaches dogs to respect boundaries and to wait for permission before passing through doors or gates. In addition, dogs will learn to go to a mat or bed on cue, especially helpful during meals, and when greeting visitor at the front door. (Completion of Position Cues and Stay recommended)
Proper Greeting Behavior $80/ 4 weeks
In this class dogs will learn to greet people without jumping up, and to wait for permission before greeting other dogs on leash. (Completion of Leash Manners recommended.)
Dog Park Etiquette $95/ 4 week
In this class you will learn proper dog park rules and etiquette, as well as how to interpret dog body language and communication. In addition, you will learn how to use the distracting environment of the dog park to perfect your training, and how to use your training to keep your dog safe.
Clicker Confidence $80/ 4 weeks
Learn clicker shaping skills to teach a variety of tricks. Great fun and mental exercise for dogs and handlers alike.
