Behavior Modification Programs

At Canine Coach we promote a holistic approach to solving behavior problem, which assess the dogs breed, age, temperament and lifestyle. Our goal is to treat the problem, not just the symptoms. Many behavior problems stem from normal, natural, and often necessary dog behaviors being performed in an inappropriate way. You will learn how to reward the behaviors you want while ignoring (when appropriate), preventing or redirecting, the behaviors you don't want. Behaviors such as barking, digging, destructive chewing, counter surfing or food stealing, and house soiling, can often be addressed in a single visit.

Fear and temperament-based behaviors such as, separation anxiety, phobias, resource guarding, and other forms of aggression directed at people or other dogs will require a significant amount of time, effort, patience and commitment. In addition, a medical assessment from your veterinarian may be required before proceeding with a behavior evaluation. Severe cases may be referred to a veterinary behaviorist. Please fill out the Contact form, with a detailed description of the behavior problem, and Linda will contact you within 48 hours to further discuss your case and schedule a consulation.
