**Dog and Children Safety seminars (for newborns, toddlers and school age children)**

We offer three different programs for you and your family, The Dogs&Storks™, Dog and Toddlers™, and Be A Tree. These programs were developed to help you acclimate your dog to the change in family dynamics created with a new baby or growing toddler; bite prevention; how to ready body language of dogs; and how to have fun, safe interactions with with familiar as well as unfamiliar dogs. These programs are appropriate for expectant or new parents, grandparents, adoptive parents, toddler play groups, and child care providers.

Understanding Your New Puppy

During this 90 minute seminar you will learn:

simple techniques for successful potty training, and crate training
how to prevent destructive chewing, and redirect mouthing and play biting
the how, when and why of proper socialization
when to start training and how to choose the right puppy class for you and your dog

**Seminar is for people only – please leave your puppy at home!**

The fee for this seminar is $25 (PAY/SCHEDULE CLASS HERE) or free with the purchase of our Puppy Package.

Behavior Seminar: Preventing Common Behavior Problems

During this 90 minute seminar you will learn:
-What is “normal” dog behavior, and how to prevent a normal behavior from becoming a problem behavior
-Simple solutions for common problems, such as:

Barking
Destructive chewing
Digging
Door dashing
Jumping up on people and things
House soiling

Handling for Successful Vet Visits

Is your dog frightened to go to the vet? Is he difficult to handle for examinations?

During this 2 hour workshop you will learn how to prepare your puppy or adult dog for successful vet visits. Your dog will learn what to expect and how to remain calm, relaxed and confident during exams and treatment.

This workshop is open to any family with their friendly dog. (If your dog is fearful or aggressive to other people or dogs please contact us for private training assistance. You may still attend the workshop as an auditor, without your dog, to learn how to work with you dog at home.)

The workshop is limited to 6 dogs and their families, so sign up soon! The fee for this workshop is $30. To audit without your dog, the fee is $15, payable at the workshop.

Dog First Aid and CPR

We partner with Pet Emergency Education, LLC, whose Pet CPR+ Certification Program is Nationally Recognized and Rapidly Becoming the Premiere Pet CPR Training Program for Animal and Veterinary Professionals as well as Animal Lovers Everywhere!

*This class will certify the participant in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid*
The skills and topics covered in this class include:

Safety techniques when working with sick and/or injured animals
How to restrain and transport sick and/or injured animals
Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, CRT)
Importance of the first aid kit
How to manage common medical emergencies such as severe wounds, poisoning, burns, choking, etc.
Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on dogs and cats (PetCPR+ Certification)

Instructor is a Credentialed Veterinary Technician and is certified by FEMA in Animal Preparedness and Disaster Response
